The neighborhood
Big lots, two building waves
Oliver Creek is a neighborhood of 124 single-family homes on big lots, with a median near three-quarters of an acre, in the Holly Springs ETJ outside town limits. Most homes were built from 1995 to 1998 or in 2004 and 2005, when Phase 6 opened on Voorhees Ln.1, 2, 3, 8
Wake County records two subdivision approvals: Oliver Creek, 68 lots on about 114 acres, approved May 6, 1996, and Phase 6, 38 lots on about 50 acres, approved March 25, 2003. The Town maps the whole neighborhood at about 165 acres.2, 5
That’s why the homes come in two waves. The first, on Oliver Creek Pkwy, Lake Terrace Dr, Thurlow Ct and Hilbert Ridge Dr, went up mostly from 1995 to 1999. The second, on Voorhees Ln and Erinvale Ct, came mostly in 2004 and 2005, with medians near 2,600 to 2,700 square feet.1, 8
Lots are the draw: the smallest is 0.68 acres and some top 3 acres. No association-owned parcel shows up in county records, so ask for recorded covenants before you buy.1, 8
